Explore the diverse facets of media and communications. Choose the traditional track or a track in Graphic Design, Multidimensional Interior Design or Sports Communication to build career-ready skills.
3-4 YEARS; 120 CREDIT HOURS
Designed for students who have multiple interests and talents, or those who have existing credits and would like to complete their degree. Under the supervision of an advisor, students design a program of study by exploring different courses across the University of West Alabama’s course curriculum.
3-4 YEARS; 123 CREDIT HOURS
Develop an understanding of human behavior and functioning with the online bachelor’s in psychology. Like most psychology programs in the country, our emphasis is on experimental methodology and statistical training. However, unlike most large institutions, you’ll be encouraged to assist faculty members in research as an undergraduate.
3-4 YEARS; 120 CREDIT HOURS
Earn a versatile degree with the online bachelor’s in public safety. The program is designed to equip you with skills to address new issues and topics within public service. You’ll develop skills in areas such as communications, reporting, time management, psychology, counseling and law enforcement.
1 YEARS; 30 CREDIT HOURS
Study graphic design, photography, web design, social media, news writing and social science, while also mastering marketing theory and media law.
1-2 YEARS; 33 CREDIT HOURS
Develop a strong foundation in counseling psychology with the online adult continuing education master’s in counseling and psychology.
2-3 YEARS; 60 CREDIT HOURS
Gain the knowledge and skills you need to provide support to people with the online, CACREP-accredited master’s in clinical mental health counseling. You’ll develop a deep understanding of counseling techniques, theories and principles that allow you to promote the mental health and wellness of clients across diverse populations.
1-2 YEARS; 36-54 CREDIT HOURS
Earn a strong foundation in the principles of scholarly research with the online master’s in experimental psychology. You’ll build upon research skills you learned in your undergraduate program, including critical thinking skills, search methods, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and research presentation.
1-2 YEARS; 33 CREDIT HOURS
Focuses on systematic approaches to family counseling that emphasize a non-pathology based perspective for understanding family dynamics and developing strategies for bringing about desired change and ameliorating a wide range of relationship, mental health and life adjustment issues.
1-2 YEARS; 48 CREDIT HOURS
Prepare to serve students in P-12 educational environments with the online master’s in guidance and counseling. This CACREP-accredited program is an exact replica of our MEd in School Counseling certification program, but is designed for students who are not eligible for the school counseling program because they lack a teaching certificate.
